Every watch, personally
inspected and honestly graded.
Before any watch appears on our site it passes a six-step inspection. Every finding is photographed and declared in the listing — nothing is hidden.
Six steps before every listing.
Visual inspection
Case, dial, crystal, crown, and bracelet are examined under 10× magnification. Every scratch, mark, or anomaly is photographed and documented in the listing.
Movement verification
The case back is opened to confirm the movement matches the reference. We check calibre number, jewel count, and condition of the rotor, mainspring, and balance wheel.
Running test
Mechanical watches are wound and observed for a minimum of 24 hours. Quartz pieces are tested with a fresh battery. Any erratic timekeeping is noted.
Dial and hands assessment
We verify dial originality — checking for repainting, replaced hands, or non-original indices. Honest patina is preserved and noted; damage is always declared.
Crown and pushers
Crowns are tested for smooth winding and setting in all positions. On watches with complications, each function is tested. Water-resistance claims are not assumed unless recently tested.
Authenticity confirmation
Reference numbers, case materials, movement calibre, and dial typography are cross-referenced against manufacturer records and specialist databases.
How we grade our watches.
Each watch is assigned a single condition grade. It appears on every product page alongside a visual bar showing the score out of 10.
Unworn or display-only. No marks of any kind. Original bracelet and accessories present. Extremely rare in vintage pieces.
Excellent
Minimal signs of wear. Sharp case edges, clean dial and crystal with no notable scratches. May show faint traces of previous ownership.
Very good
Light surface wear consistent with careful use. Small scratches visible on case or bracelet. Dial and crystal clean. Our most common grade.
Visible wear and/or scratches throughout. May show light case buffing or bracelet stretch. Fully functional. Honest collector condition.
Heavy cosmetic wear. Significant scratches, dents, or discolouration. Priced accordingly. Suitable for servicing or parts use.
Heavy damage or incomplete. Listed only when the piece has historic interest or parts value. All faults fully documented.
100% authentic, or your money back.
We never sell fakes, replicas, or misrepresented timepieces. Every watch is verified against manufacturer records and specialist databases before listing. If a watch is ever found to be non-genuine, we offer a full refund — no questions asked.
